@nixCraft Nothing beats experienced. I've blown certified people out of the system.

@nixCraft I've met some certified folks that I wouldn't trust to admin my home network, let alone $dayjob... @nixCraft Certification is a straightforward process: you pay, you get the certification. @nixCraft We had a tech that was certified by a brand of firewalls. He couldn't update them in CLI... @nixCraft as on point as this is, I'd hesitate to increase the fandom of an artist/writer that thinks we live in a post racism society where black people are making stuff up someone who apologizes for Trump, questions the holocaust etc, then tries to walk it back when there's a backlash, before doubling down in the comic strips hopefully everyone here knows that and isn't down with it, right? @nixCraft LOL, my old contract company wanted to get into web development so they sent a few groups through month long boot camp type training and we all got out with very impressive certifications. And with zero experience none of us were able to get better contract positions as web developers since we were already in high rate positions. They should have had in house development and should have started with newer lower contract rate employees |
