screenshot of reddit: We use liveschool for our middle school and class dojo for the elementary school. I love live school. The behaviors are weighted differently so leaving class is a minus 10 whereas following instructions is a +3. We all have ipads so we can easily add and subtract points in the moment. You can put a comment on each addition/deduction for admin/parents. We give out weekly paychecks to students that they can spend at the school store. There's a ton of good data for behavioral trends and things for admin to address at town halls. It also calms me down a little, like if a student has had a bad day and I can give some deductions, it makes me less mad? We have a policy that any student who loses $20 in a day has to sit out of recess and eat lunch silently the following day. It is a great deterrent. I'm pretty sure you can use liveschool for parent communications too. But our parents don't sign in often enough.
