@SunDancer my trekkie partner had to be consoled over how emotional this was for her. And now her extended trekkie group of friends spanning multiple timezones and hemispheres are being woken up and made to watch... :) I'm afraid you might not be a real fan, sir. :P  @SunDancer I partially agree with you, the "friendship trumps time and space" is a trope only a little more palatable than "love trumps time and space". But I did enjoy the optimistic perspective of the original series and I am moved by the purity of the people who are captured by the setting and this element of it in particular. :) |
@mariusor I watched it yesterday and it really doesn't resonate with me. And I've watched almost every Star Trek series or movie.
