  @stroughtonsmith my kids, 7, 9 and 10, made up a game on their own called “hey Alexa“, we’re one of them says “hey Alexa play <song >”, and the other one has to sing that song. Every once in a while they will say “hey Siri play <song>”, and the other will say “I’m sorry, I can’t complete that request right now”, based on their experience trying to use our HomePod, and they all laugh and laugh and laugh… @stroughtonsmith Siri has been nothing more than a punchline to them for literally their entire lives. As they become teenagers and they get their own devices, you think they will go back to Siri? Not likely… Apple shouldn’t count on GenZ or Gen Alpha to use the services @stroughtonsmith One of the things I liked about mid 2000's #Apple and it was very apparent with the 2007 #iPhone, they realized we aren't good at everything. Google got to do maps, Yahoo handled the weather and stocks. Apple really should consider standing down on some of the push to in house everything on the #iOS. |
