@nixCraft And yet here we are, online, talking about our honey. Why would we not discuss its advantages with people who prefer shit? Why go online with our honey in the first place? @goblin @gnaddrig @nixCraft Your comment registered with me. I appreciate the quote, and I respect your response too… having been through an extremely traumatic experience recently at the hands of a “fly”, I'm drawn to ideas that might help me see the good in people. At different times, each idea can be helpful. My wife has reminded me of something Mr. Rogers said: “Look for the heroes” @goblin @gnaddrig @nixCraft It’s hard to tell what individual lesson or teaching method really hits home for someone. While I do agree that longterm change requires longterm thought, whether that’s guided by someone else or entirely self-initiated, it’s still a train of thought. I see quotes like these as various strategies to employ. Sometimes you talk patiently, one-on-one, and sometimes you drop a oneliner that gets under their skin. @nixCraft this is fine right up to the point when there are no flowers anymore because everything is shit now...🤣 @nixCraft I heard the other day that flys, well especially maggots, are pretty good for the #environment, but I'm with you, and Pooh 🐝 |
@nixCraft as an ecologist this is confusing. But she is referring to flies living in dung I suppose. Sometimes my brain takes very different roads than other brains.
