Also, do you know anyone who is "on the freedom ladder" who you would like to introduce? They can either be people you know personally or not, even just someone you know who is creating or sharing resources relevant to educating people about free software, no matter how simple or complex. It is a proprietary SaaS tool and so it is unethical but is there anything the FSF is particularly worried about with it? @oklomsy Well, there are a few things, but the main issue is that it copies free software code without developers knowing where it is coming from and what license that code was under. What you're referring to as Mastodon, is in fact, Fediverse/Mastodon, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Fedi plus Mastodon. Mastodon is not a social network unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Fediverse made useful by the Fedi servers, frontends and vital network components comprising a full social network as defined by ActivityPub. @fsf How's Richard Stallman? Our secondary topic will be "decentralization and federation," and what better place to discuss this than on a decentralized service such as Mastodon!
