 @alice_watson And, corps have whole departments just for flaunting expectations. Even open-source projects kinda have to do it, because of general diversity. And then, we get shit-stormed for talking about rights and justice. It's almost a standard cycle of good and evil.  Yup, this one is particularly shit: pretty much every update is like the attached. Maybe not multi-billion dollar, but big enough to try harder. @alice_watson @alice_watson some app updates make the app worse! Picsart, for example, keeps putting ads in innovative new places, along with shoving AI down your throat  @alice_watson yeah. Verizon, for example, is terrible at that. Every new update to any of their apps is "bug fixes and enhancements." WHICH FUCKING ONES, DICKS?? And anything they "enhance" invariably works worse.   Me: - did a bunch of stuff, can't remember what; I'm about to mess things up again, though, so wanted to save the least-broken version for posterity @alice_watson to be fair, Google Play and possibly the AppStore have stupidly low character limits to actually put changelogs in, so thats probably something that fueled this dumpsterfire @alice_watson c'mon I've never seen a changelog on Google play that's longer than Mastodon's default 500ch limit that's embarrassing π @mmatute_us lmao, just doing my duty as an occasional shitposter.  @alice_watson honestly like the change log of an open source application can tell you so much about the development team and the contributors because take example free Nets right it's it looks like a it looks and feels really sketchy to be completely honest even after you install it but like the GitHub is looking really good in the community around it seems really good what do y'all think of it I think I've got myself distracted |
