Set aside the impracticality of this delusion for the moment. What's behind the "Alaska is ours!" sentiment is the extreme imperialist and colonialist mentality of the Russian people.

Not Putin. Russians. Russians say "Alaska is ours!" in the same breath as "Crimea is ours!"
