@itsfoss this is like Trump vs Kamala all over again. Both suck but one is clearly β€œbetter” than the other.

@itsfoss they're both lying about the search engine. Both default to Google when you install them. And Brave is more easy to harden rather that Firefox. Brave's dependency on cryptocurrency gives them negative points. And personally, Luke Mulks doesn't have much respect from me.

@el_haych2024 @itsfoss actually not totally exact brave changed to their browser on some country but not EU yet.

@itsfoss Bringing the kettle to the pot, and they both deserve each other. πŸ€£πŸ‘

@itsfoss lol they always bring up privacytests.org/. It should be noted that this site is ran by a Brave employee, which is exactly why I don’t trust it.

FireFox needs to get back to making a better web browser. Rather than what they're doing right now.

Disclamer i'm not for any of them as i use safari.

Firefox dead anyway, brave don't have to take lesson from people who cannot even run their own software as their last user do not support firefox because he is good, but rather because there is no other alternative to chromium.

They can start to fix their own engine before making lesson to other.

@itsfoss Oh no, not another kindergarten war...

I'm already annoyed of Proton and Tuta fighting πŸ™„

@itsfoss On that privacy tests website, few entire sections that are shown red for Firefox, would turn green with uBlock Origin with privacy/anti-tracking filters selected.

I'm also surprised by ECH being marked as not supported. It should be on by default since Firefox 119.

Funny. Why don't test Ff and Brave yourself?

There:
browseraudit.com
coveryourtracks.eff.org
deviceinfo.me
browserleaks.com
...

Brave browser is, by default, better than Ff for privacy protection including fingerprint resistance...

With Ff there is a lot of job to reach the same level. This for example:

Firefox Hardening Guide 2024
brainfucksec.github.io/firefox
