@__michaelg The one true connector. Sorry, not sorry. *bang* Damnit.

@__michaelg Yea, I built one of these. It's a replacement charger for my Epson HX-20.

@__michaelg lol. I'd be tempted to replace the negative with AC just to make it really terrifying

@__michaelg Most applications of that type of connector have the centre pin as positive(+). Ouch!

@__michaelg I have at least one device that is spooky like that. aaaa!

@__michaelg Most guitar effects pedals (and many electronic musical instruments) - but not all.

@__michaelg You too!

(I've in fact blown the fuse on this device once already)

@__michaelg I add labels to those to prevent future damage.

My Casio PT-10 is the first thing that comes to mind when I see this.
’87 though, so I can excuse it.

@Codeschubse It's the pictogram for a center-negative barrel power connector. Most electronics have center-positive connectors these days, it's considered a standard by many. (A bunch of music/guitar devices being the notable exception.) So whenever you run into a center-negative device but don't have the original power supply around, chances that you don't find a matching power supply are low, while chances that you destroy the device by accidentally using the wrong one are high. Spooky!

@__michaelg one of the reasons why I got rid of my Q-tron
