@clyde @wildebest I agree, but the post does raise a valid point, that wiki like documentation is better than whatever effort you give to a discord server. Also, I forgot to mention most git hoster already have a wiki built in. Even a relatively new and small project like forgejo. |
@tengkuizdihar @wildebest It's still work. These things take time, effort, and energy that get balanced against things like day jobs, hugging loved ones, petting cats, etc. as well as the main development of the project.
I got like five years into my project before starting a dokuwiki for it and I wouldn't have known where to start or what to emphasize if I didn't get to interact with developers with questions in real time.
Setup may be easy, but writing is hard.
