I’m excited for next week (new Mac mini!) but I gotta say, my M1 Max MacBook Pro is still holding up great.

It’s easily been my best Mac purchase ever. Insanely powerful, on par with my custom Mac Pro tower build in some tasks. It might need a new battery next year, though.

@sdw Agreed. I have the "lowly" M1 Pro, but it's still awesome for everything I do. I'm in no rush to replace it.

@sdw Same. I’m feeling the itch to upgrade this cycle, but I’m not yet sure I will. It’s not like this one doesn’t still feel great.

@sdw My M1 Max been amazing. I think the only thing I'd change is size - I've found myself wanting something a little smaller (and lighter) over the past year.

@sdw I have an M1 MacBook Air for work and an old, Intel MBP and the performance of the Apple M chips is shockingly good!

@sdw I’m still very pleased with my M1 MBP from Nov 2020! Although it’s starting to show its age in some apps like Logic Pro and Final Cut, it’s still getting the job done for me.

@sdw Single best Mac I’ve ever worked with. Anything you throw at it, it handles effortlessly, without ever heating up.

@sdw yes because normally you have to replace your laptop every 4 years

@sdw M1 Max MBP has been my most-used personal Mac for the past 2.5 years. Still at 91% max battery capacity.

2016 MBP I had before that was pretty much my work machine for a couple years because of Covid.

Solid beasts.
