As a teen (and if I remember correctly in my early twens), in my mind abortion was something women had, when being pregnant unwantedly. When I first came in touch with the fact, that pregnancies can become dangerous to the mother I started to change my mind.
I didn't grow up religiously. But pregnancy was only a subject when talking about pregnant teenagers and that was to be avoided at all costs. (TV of the 2000s was full of teen moms). It seems that, again, education is the key.

Is in Her First 6 Weeks of Pregnancy.

You would think, this information is important in this debate...🙃

The crazy thing I just remembered is, my mum had an abortion for non medical reasons before she got pregnant with me. I never shamed her, because I knew the reasons but still didn't make the connection.
