@catsalad I suddenly know exactly what to do with the old ATM at the makerspace...

Kenneth

@eljefedsecurit Dunno, but good catch. Timing is off for the putative Scattered Spider hack tho.

@catsalad who needs a flipper zero when you can lug around an ATM amiright?

ROTOPE~1 :yell:

@catsalad the quieter you are, the more you can withdraw

@catsalad tbh ATMs are offensive enough on their own 😬

@catsalad at least in's not Microsoft Windows NT 4.0

Analog AI

@catsalad Yes, definitely stick your card in there and let Kali scan it.

mmu_man

@catsalad it's likely more secure than any other 😄

@catsalad Kali on an ATM…new meaning to PINtesting

ehurtley

@cwilliams25 @catsalad I don’t care what hash method you’re using, hashcat should get a 4-digit PIN basically instantaneously no matter how old the hardware (that is capable of running Kali.)

@catsalad one of the largest bank here in Brazil has its own Linux distro for its ATMs. When they are turned on we see Tux, just like when we turn on a voting machine during elections

Enter at your own risk!

@catsalad
Oh, indubitably. (A good April Fool's prank would be to fit faux screens over random ATMs with the All Your Base Are Belong To Us meme, don't you think?")

@catsalad
Wow, a ATM which doesn't run on windows 🥰
I thought producers do only support windows and no other system.

@catsalad Much better than the Win95 (!) booting screens you still see quite often in Germany (at train stations, on trains, on ATMs...)
