@indirection @aurynn Well, for a start, GNU social is dead. It's an old, abandoned project that uses a different standard that never saw a proper publication. You wanna use it you still can but you'll be cut off from the modern fediverse and I don't think you'll gain anything in return.

Pleroma (not Plemora) does a lot of things differently and in my personal opinion is still behind Mastodon, but I don't know what you expect to hear from me, I'm obviously biased in favour of my own choices.
