As I suspected. I hope they can backpedal. I'd sell access to them as a library. I suspect many authors might grant license. Get donations to buy legit copies. It's a difficult morass, more so for high cost low sales high price things like textbooks, that if made free to access make it impossible for authors to write textbooks, and suddenly the industry tanks. Authors like to make a living, too. I doubt level heads will prevail. Big money, not just pissed authors are involved battling people who want everything for free (and yes, I know there are people who can't afford to pay, legitimately maybe through discrimination etc, which is why there are proper libraries as well as pirates).
