@thibaultmol @ThePlant Yet I do know people that are overall concerned about Mozilla becoming a adtech/AI company as well. We need a new web rendering engine made by people and actually for the people.

Toggles can always be deprecated without notice.

Well yeah, but until those are ready, this is better. Zen (i think) said they'll have those things disabled in their fork. Don't quote me on that.

There is a new browser called ladybird but the founders are transphobic iirc
ladybird.org/

And there's servo which so far seems good servo.org/

But neither are ready for prime time yet, so until them I'm using Firefox forks like zen

@thibaultmol @ThePlant I actually use Floorp because it has the old pre Firefox 88 UI ported forward. And it's built on the ESR branch. I don't like the standard release branch.

@thibaultmol Yikes, Floorp recently discontinued userChrome CSS mods in release binaries. Last sane version seems to be 11.16.

@thibaultmol Yeah, Zen just looks like Safari for a modern macOS. I have a very specific look I was targetting and Floorp helped get there. Shame it dropped userChrome in it's newer releases.

@JackRacc wel tbf, the selling point of zen is the ui customization through it's mod/theme store.

But yeah, i get it if you're going for a specific look

@thibaultmol I was a huge fan of Classic Theme Restorer for NPAPI back in those days.

I just want pre FF 88 UI with a movable hamburger menu and all extensions shown rather than hidden in a button.

If I had more time to research, hopefully there will be a way in Zen, but I still like the ESR channel.
