If you do want to see a liberal paper change their tune, just compare The Guardian now saying "tax the rich" vs when the Labour party had a leader that actually wanted to do that. The Guardian went from attacking Corbyn to pretending to actually care about shit overnight. It was astounding. @benx wait can you tell me more about that? I don't follow UK politics very closely but my family does read The Guardian for international news (evidently not enough to notice the change in tune)

I think some of what went wrong in 2016 may have been that the DNC-aligned corporate media kept slathering on their personal contempt for Trump, getting many people thinking he might deserve to be listened to. He made mouth noises about genuine populist issues (then forgot about them once elected), and the rest is history. 😔🤢 They’re doing it all over again with this election. She is not running for anything, she is running against Trump. And the hit piece in Spiked is by - wait for it - Brendan O'Neill. LOL. Instead, it's a catalog of Israeli espionage operations, against the USA, run from inside the USA. And in many cases, with the government knowing about it, and choosing not to do anything about it. Be clear; these are operations intended to degrade our national security, and change our foreign policy in favor of Israel. Realpolitik at work. |
