could as well be that because whether you choose "abort", "retry", or "ignore", you would get the same error again most of the time @jhwgh1968 @grishka @tubetime Both existed, just in different DOS versions - early versions just had Abort, Retry, Ignore, whilst later versions offered different choices under various conditions. I think 3.3 was the point at which it changed; 3.2 always offered Ignore but 3.3 and up rarely did, preferring the new Fail option. Very occasionally you'd be offered all four options! Fun and games, dissecting a FAT drive with a ruined r/w head, buying a duplicate drive, putting the old platters in the new machinery and shrieking with glee when it mounted. @tubetime I did that once as a kid when I turned the computer off and moved it off one table and put it up onto another with the help of a fellow kid Unfortunately I did not know about the Disk Park utility... 😬 @tubetime Hello, Catholic church program assigned by founder of Cambridge catholic world 🌎 wide session needed an assistance for the 2024 anniversary celebration 🎊 🎉 for the world exhibition programme we needed a support from all members & citizens of each countries both USA , Canada , Korea , Japan , Australia 🌏 and other countries can help us with donation to proceed with the existence of God alliance in the world 🌎 wide Pay to our Wallet Address for easy pay -EC1pu1AStMDUPU32DiZgqwYXh4uyAZJnBP3rv2SqAVQx |

Only in my nightmares! I remember the great hard drive crash of 1998. 3 HDD's all died on me in the span of a week. I was using used WD Caviar drives back then. Ouch.
