Looks like Libre.fm, an open-software version of Last.fm by the GNU Project, is being reworked to support ActivityPub!

I definitely agree with Matt about having one's own website. In my case though, instead of a main "home page" where I could implement federated features (I am not technically skilled enough to do this), I'm using the moule.world domain name as my "ID" on the web, and over time intend to set up a wiki, possibly Funkwhale etc. It'll happen over time, at my own pace. It just feels so liberating running your own stuff! :MOULE_Happy: @MOULE Definitely agree. Limitless personalization options. The best way to create your identity on the internet. Social networks have killed all self-expression options by just shoving all of us in equal sized boxes with the same color, and they only allow us to change the sticker on the side. > Proprietary social media is dead or dying. The social web is the future. Overly optimistic, but a great rallying cry nonetheless :) @MOULE @MOULE yeah, this has been hacienida... Its being built from the ground up. |
@MOULE After CBS abolished the good parts of #LastFM like discussion forums and group charts, integration of scrobbling with ActivityPub would be great.
