Gregory's Serverldvsoft, there's a low-priority ticket for @samhenrigold@hachyderm.io to design how blockquotes and code blocks and something else I don't remember what should be rendered. So it'll be supported eventually.

So I have to write it manually as @ldvsoft@fosstodon.org, otherwise the comment doesn't get sent to your server for some reason edit: oh NOW it did. Weird. There's also a bug in Smithereen that happens when the person you're replying to doesn't have a display name. I should fix that
