@pmcg Unfortunately we can't until we redo the whole system. Catalyst is definitely the reason that isn't working.

@pmcg Yea it's a result of how we have to detect urls, hashtags, and mentions when composing. It all has to be rewritten and we plan to do that when we redo the compose view completely. It's not worth all the trouble of spending all the time rewriting it now. There's too many more important tasks we need to get through first.
