TL;DR: The enthusiastic push to repeal Section 230 is a tactical move to remove power from Tech CEOs in order to artificially pump up unpopular ideologies under the false banner of "free speech".

Actual free speech folks would care about the legal carve-outs for libel and would especially care about *increasing* the legal liability of libel.

But that's too detailed thinking for the part of the Fediverse I've shunned for spewing generally unprincipled garbage
