I got new ADHD medication and I realized I wasn't 100% sure I took it so I sat and counted. I did.

Fuck I hope this fixes me also I am sure I did not lie to get it now.

@SwiftOnSecurity good luck! I’m probably changing mine next week.

@SwiftOnSecurity I feel this

haven't been diagnosed
haven't tried medication
but I feel this

@SwiftOnSecurity I went from Adderall to Concerta and...still not the greatest, but less illogical bouts of anger at things.

@SwiftOnSecurity seven day pillbox has been more useful to me than any reminder tech

@ardent_handsaw @SwiftOnSecurity yeah, the phone alarm doesn’t tell me I actually took the meds. With the organizer I can see if the Monday section is empty or not.

…and it looks like I missed Sunday

@unixorn @ardent_handsaw @SwiftOnSecurity Which is why I use Apple Health app to track/remind me of it. Otherwise that pillbox might have remained full.

I often wonder this too with my meds. I've thought of getting one of those "daily pill dispensers" for some time now.

I guess I'm "an old" :(

I use a dosette and it's pretty great. Fill it up Sunday morning and all week when I worry if I took my meds, I can check visually.
Also, the pills in the bottle don't usually line up exactly with the weekly box, so I get a 3 or 4 day reminder to call the pharmacy and get refills.

@SwiftOnSecurity they make cheap medication caps that reset a timer when you open the bottle, so it always shows “time since last opened”. Invaluable.

@SwiftOnSecurity
Get a pill bottle with a timer cap on it that tells you when the bottle was opened last. It did wonders for helping my fiance track if he took his pills.

@SwiftOnSecurity I absolutely need to keep my meds (ADHD and otherwise) in an old person-style weekly pills organizer or I am doubling up and missing days randomly. Which is not recommended.

I use one of those daily pill minders, with AM/PM containers. Can't say the medicine helps a whole lot myself, but YMMV

@SwiftOnSecurity Which is why I always mark is as taken in Apple Health app, otherwise I might not be able to tell if/when I did.

Roadskater, Ph.D.

@spitfire @SwiftOnSecurity I find it extremely easy to forget to click the Health app button saying I took my meds. So later in the day if it gets insistent asking "did you take your meds?", I have to check the 7-day pill thing in the medicine cabinet to verify that, yes the day's slot is empty and I can click "yes go away".

Mieszko Ślusarczyk

@roadskater @SwiftOnSecurity As much as I’m forgetful I’m very strict about it. When I get a reminder, I take my phone, take the meds and mark as taken. If I can’t at the moment then I will at the time when the next reminder (after 20 minutes) comes in. That’s usually when I have my breakfast, so the routine helps a bit too
