Canonical has released the beta of Ubuntu 24.10 “Oracular Oriole”, powered by Linux kernel 6.11 and GNOME 47. It includes updates like OpenSSL 3.3, Firefox 130, LibreOffice 24.8.3, and Thunderbird 128. NVIDIA users will also default to Wayland instead of Xorg.
