@brooke would love Linux to do a reverse of this “Linux: a free Unix system for 386 machines Linux (named after its author, Linus Torvalds) is a free Unix clone which implements a subset of System V and POSIX functionality. Linux has been written from scratch and does not contain any proprietary code in the kernel. Linux runs only on 386/486 AT-bus machines, and porting to non-Intel architectures is likely to be difficult as the kernel makes extensive use of 386 memory management”
