@brawaru @matus_chochlik In Germany usually dns blocking is used for copy right cases like this. Wow, it seems that the website was really completely seized and taken down. @hniemeyer @brawaru @matus_chochlik usually yes (see cuii), but the cuii message looks different (colorful, with the cuii logo) @hniemeyer @brawaru @matus_chochlik DNS blocking is sometimes used if the host or owner of the website is located abroad and does not comply with the law. @brawaru @hniemeyer @matus_chochlik looks like hosting service has to comply because of the threat of penalty |
@hniemeyer Also, "pipx install yt-dlp" pulls the successor from pypi. Blocking pypi would be massive overblocking.
