Gregory's ServerUniversal basic income mitigates tunneling, meaning that people are more able to think beyond just one focus. The need to earn survival income tends to function like blinders that block out everything else but your focus on basic needs. Until they're obtained, it's difficult to think beyond.

@scottsantens @ToshInMacc @scottsantens   @scottsantens Strangely something mundane like wearing a mask is that too… Nobody takes care about what happens to them in five years time…  @FalkAppel @scottsantens @scottsantens I'd wager there is a link between this and gun violence as well - frustration, desperation, lack of opportunity.  Abused people abuse people. This is the foundation upon which #concervitave politics are built. All of their policy decisions are made around this blinder effect you mention. Will it make more traumatized people? Will it traumatize my opponents more than my base? |
