That home would then belong to someone else. Possibly you. It wouldn't just evaporate into thin air, revoked from existence if landlords couldn't own it anymore.
I mean, being totally zen about fully detaching your ego from caring if somebody else is in total and ultimate control of your home place and being absolutely comfortable forking over a huge portion of your income to them (enabling them to save up and buy more houses, rather than having the ability to save or buy one yourself) without any objection or problem might be a great coping mechanism and all for YOU, but it's not as if you can expect everyone to adopt that attitude. Even if we did, blissfully anesthetizing ourselves to our situation won't solve the problems of corruption and abuse being perpetrated by the robber barons exploiting this situation to vacuum away everything they can reach-- I mean I guess we COULD just sit around in the lotus position serenely while we die of wet bulb heat waves and preventable disease and all, but... that's not really my goal in life, personally.
@violetmadder @magitweeter @Daojoan There is nothing, nothing at all that is "zen" about the perspective that I am offering, let alone "totally zen". Perhaps in your haste to dismiss my perspective with an arrogant, condescending and patronizing response, you felt it was ok to just lean into this lazy habit that people have developed of using the word "zen" as an umbrella term which points to absolutely nothing close to what the word "zen" actually points to.
