@rik Taxing SUVs doesn't seem to be working: it just makes conspicuous consumption more effective.

Let's impose lower speed limits on vehicles that are more likely to kill people in the event of an accident, which impose more wear on roads, which burn more fuel and pump out more CO2. We already do this for lorries, which have a lower motorway speed limit than smaller vehicles. Why not do it for SUVs as well?
