@tychosoft the only hard problem that US leaders worry about is how to keep the plebs from rising up. @yogthos people find they are excluded as monopolization by the few wealthy eliminates product diversity and capital for new business formation. Overall production declines as more specialists, scientists, technician, skilled labor, is unwanted and excluded, becoming idle. Market monopolization also means greater fragility and dependencies on ever fewer suppliers. Soon shelves empty, tech disappears, and theocracy rises. @tychosoft on a related note, this is a fantastic read https://americanaffairsjournal.org/2021/08/the-value-of-nothing-capital-versus-growth/ |
