@gudenau @lina You can't really improve a C codebase other than by rewriting it in Ada or Lisp (presumably Common Lisp, since it is properly standardized).

C is a good language, people have just lost the plot with Rust fanaticism. I don't mind Rust programs but to just throw out 45+ years of software development by skilled people because you swallowed some nonsense about "memory safe" just irritates me...

The OpenBSD project is a good example of C done right.
