@bob@beamship.mpaq.org I wish it was easy to answer for me which doesn't help that I'm not an coder and just an Average Joe.

I leaning on the Linux side mainly just I love how customizable it is and I can make the desktop how I wanted. I missed the Windows XP/7 UX design and I hate how Microsoft learnt notbing about Windows 8 and still doing hybrid of desktop and mobile user interface.

The major issue I have is Linux has a learning curve as well as you had to do much of compromises depending on what proprietary software you used and that one feature you used which sound minor to most average user but power user of that software would be a major let down if it wasn't there. Trying out WINE (and other simlar project to it) is hit and miss experience depending on which software in question you trying to run on Linux. Not to mention, it has an trial-and-error thing which for people into thinkering they would love but for me, I just want it to "just work" with not too much manual work as possible.

That's why I hadn't fully stopped using Windows dispite how much I hate the Operating System and Mircosoft the company. It's mostly convenient for me.
