@Talia In days of yore we used paper mockups of software user experiences. I recall attending a weekend workshop on design where the instructor explained that the mockups should look a little sloppy, e.g. hand-lettered.

Claimed that high-fidelity mockups felt โ€œdoneโ€ and closed down creativity. Later, I tried a Mac drawing app called โ€œnapkinโ€ designed around the same principle. Everything looked ad hoc.
