@justine Personally, I feel like:
1. I actually stand a chance of understanding all the services that are running on a typical FreeBSD system, and why. Default install of a modern Linux distribution has so much going on I only barely have a clue what it‘s all supposed to be for.
2. There‘s something to be said for not making big changes to the OS every half a year or so. I‘ve found keeping up with Linux a bit of a treadmill in terms of skills. BSDs seem to evolve a bit more gradually.
