@drq well mastodon != fediverse. Go for some instance with a different software, or at least a different client app. They usually provide more features. Buzz words maybe misskey, pleoroma, pixelfed, ...

 @fabos What I'm trying to say, is the Fediverse is not as dynamic as it used to be. Which is good, because at least you have a stable environment. But it's also bad, because that stable environment consists of decade-old pain points to work around. |
@fabos I know that.
And I'm not talking about existing features. I know that some engines are more featureful than the others. I mostly don't need them, and when I do need them, I go and register on somewhere that has that.
I'm talking about active development.
When's the last time you heard some fediverse engine releasing some feature and everybody like "yeah, that's the shit that's gonna change everything".
