@friedrich no friendrich it should just be longitude and shortitude, but really it's ok if they're a few letters off because nobody uses those words as variable names

@aeva it’s 20 years of openstreetmap and it’s used a lat.
Also mandatory unit typing as

For the mnemonics:

Once you’ve seen the horizontal bar in the A of LAT like:
LAT as L—A—T
LON as LΦΝ will just feel natural
