Almost all time i like post and sometimes mostly in conversation treads it mean i read your post

@WildPowerHammer mastodon calls it a "favorite" and not a "like", so it's only reserved for exceptionally great posts. and the bookmark is for when you aren't sure yet

But, literaly, there are no other options, if you dont want to boost that post, but want to someone know you at least reed that, if you think its exceptionally great you can both boost, favourite and add to bookmarks, last just for you to find it later

P.S. as i know bookmarking post dont notify creator of post, maybe i'm not right

Yes, sure. I'm not talking about the "correct" way, I just think that the way it was supposed to be used isn't the same as the way it is used.
