Does it have to be popular? I mean, the John Carter of Mars setting is definitely more popular than "Setting I just made up in my head". That's a head start compared to square one, right?

@isaackuo @deinol No, but it certainly helps make sales. Any John Carter indie games have to compete with the more visible ones, like the Modiphius version, and deal with 100+ years of baggage and expectations.

I guess I don’t know how popular it is. I know I’m fond of it, but I’d prefer a lighter game than the Modiphius offering.
