psychology is extra bad because people think it's an "easy" degree, not as difficult as STEM, just to get obliterated with the statistics modules. or they finish with a bad psych degree and end up jobless or have to study again to find a job at all.

the majority of current psych students should not study psychology, since they have no actual profession in mind they want to reach.

@kaia @twinspin6 @xarvos And in some countries it's even worse. In france, bachelor in psychology basically doesnt exist, so it's master or nothing. Except to go from M1 to M2 there is a competitive exam where approx 5% only of people are taken. If you fail the exam, you're only allowed to take it a second time. But you have to _actively_ fail, as in having less than 10/20 on a course during the exam. If you go all in and do not fail the exam, but are not selected at the end, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PASS THE EXAM A SECOND TIME.

So people can lose 4 years of their time for a bachelor's degree that isn't even recognized by the country.

And of course none of this is said to new students/potential students.

The number of people wasting years in this thing is insane.
