@thewritertype be fair, the other side did turn up. All four of them. Who hid behind a couple of dozen police.  @thewritertype some people wanted a civil war but got inexplicably confused and started a pogrom instead. @thewritertype I wish that was true but there are key figures - we all know who they are - who will continue to stoke divisions   @BlueWaver22 @thewritertype Apparently he's deeply pissed off that people are calling them the #FarageRiots, so obviously no-one should do that. 🤔 @BlueWaver22 @thewritertype Maybe he's in Clacton? No one would think of looking for him there.  In the US the hate people need to see the massive display of human decency and I suspect Kamala and Walz are showing US this.   @thewritertype and barely a word of thanks from the Government to the people who saved their arse last night. @Lazarou @thewritertype If the people must do everything themselves, why bother having a government? My sympathy for anarchism is already pegged at max, but because I live in a society where most people are either deeply closeted anarchists or authoritarians, I try to be careful about how I express my sympathies. If it's true that the government that governs best, governs least, then it stands to reason that the ideal government is no government at all. No church, no state, no capital. We are the means of production, and it is time we reclaimed ourselves. @Lazarou @thewritertype I read the labour party actually wrote a letter discouraging members to attend " protests or counter protests "  @thewritertype as the 1970s poster nearly said, what if they held a civil war and nobody showed up  A good few years ago now, I went to counter-protest an EDL march but my bus was late. When I finally got there all there was to be seen were a couple of coppers chatting and a man sweeping up beer cans. @AndyPaciorekArt @thewritertype to me this demonstrates the level of commitment to their cause that the likes of the edl have. Something to do until the footy is on in the pubs. @thewritertype Makes you wonder how the last Civil War would have gone if the peasants had got to choose which side they were on. The Farage-Tommy Rioters last seen heading off with flaming torches and pitchforks ...   @thewritertype And because we've had quite a bit of rain today. No-one likes to riot in the rain, c'mon...  @thewritertype Elon Musk and Nigel Farage have no memory of having claimed anything about a 'civil war'. Funny, that. |
