@gnoll110 @duncan the decline is so overwhelming!!! I was so shocked, when I returned to the Rhône glacier in 2018 after some 20 years. There was a feeble attempt to slow the melting with a massive tarpaulin covering the weathered surface of the glacier. It gave the whole scene even more of a death-bed atmosphere. Like a big dragon dying under a blanket. What have we done!?
