@vkc @thanius YaCy has existed since forever, bit it's basically useless. (Federated) Index quality and search results are laughable.
Last time I tried to run an instance maybe two years ago, I spent most of my time on spam filter rules and site exclusions and still didn't get anywhere.

@galaxis Yeah, YaCy is not worth the hassle. I imagine that there will be search engines in the future based off interests, for example technology. Then when I use that engine I get mostly the results I expect, and the rest should federate over the network. Users should be able to report and score the results which would improve quality over time.
