One year ago, today.

I was setting up some servers and preparing for the launch of the BSD Cafe! (a couple of days later)

@stefano Now i feel stupid, because this place was created with relax in mind ...

Once again i need to rethink my behavior πŸ‘

Stefano Marinelli

@sourcerer Never feel stupid or bad. This place is not intended to make people feel bad.

@stefano I only hope others are aware that some of my post targets views, not people. πŸ˜‚

I will rethink that anyway.

Currently i noticed how easy is to forgot about "core" / "essence" of something.

When i saw this intro post once again, right now ...

It's handy to remember about making others feel good, i need some solution that will remind me that "essence" before i log in.

From programming i already know it's impossible to remember about everything ... but it's helpful to remember.

Thank You! I have an idea but not sure how to make it right.

@stefano BSD is great. Thank you for creating a space like BSDcafe.

matuzalem

@stefano @doerk That looks like my other laptop 🍎

Doerk

@matuzalem @stefano I was a bit confused, since this is obviously a MacBook and not a *BSD workstation πŸ˜‰

@doerk @matuzalem I'm (also) using MacOS as my daily driver. It gets the job done.

@stefano @matuzalem I totally understand. Tried to install FreeBSD on a 12 year old notebook. Just wanted to have something to play around. Nearly ended in a nervous breakdown after four days. No WiFi, no Bluetooth, no touchpad. FreeBSD is great, but not on this specific notebook…

@stefano The keys on that keyboard look almost as shinny as the keys on mine (M1) the plastics on apple products are very low cality these days.

Stefano Marinelli

@matuzalem true. They also changed colour, turning to red-ish. It never happened with older Apple devices

@stefano
That for sure is one great view!
