I wish you had not used such words like "homophobia..." to describe bigots.
Phobia is medical condition which is "an anxiety disorder defined by a persistent and excessive fear of an object or situation" (American Psychiatric Association (2013))
Comparing bigots with people who actually have phobia is very disrespectful towards them.
