@bagder As a general rule, corporations will do anything in their power to hug the limits of what they can do as much as possible, legally or not. That's the sad part - morals are out of the window

@combo i wonder if there would be a way to construct society such that people with a stronger sense of justice would be more likely to have power over organizations (like corporations if they would exist) rather than less like as is currently the case?

@LambdaDuck I am of the same opinion, fellow duck. Sadly, only solution that comes to my mind is just integrating a strong sence of justice into school curriculum

@combo i believe that is the wrong direction. there is only so much that the school can do, much of it is an inherent trait. i believe that most people are good people, but the issue is that so much of our current systems are designed to reward egoism and punish compassion, so the few people who are just bad are most likely to get power.

and specifically for corporations, i have heard that there have even been legal cases against companies for the audacity of prioritizing consumers and workers over the shareholder’s money
