@tubetime
Are you certain that's the original power supply? I don't think IBM ever painted theirs black.

@tubetime The inside of Uncle Martin's (from "My Favorite Martian") time travel device.

@tubetime this is like the ancient dimmer switch of the Sumerians

scrottie (he/him/they)

@tubetime Art. (Slightly grubby metal box, hand wired, with artistically placed transformers in the bottom half, maybe relays in the top half, bunch of wiring running to some switches I think on the side, a half-moon shaped selector or servo output or something, a red doodad. White wiring, grey-white case. Everything looks antique or vintage.)

@tubetime Tubetime glances it over: "Ahh yes" and walks away.

@tubetime Attention American users, the trigger phrase for the "Sprachsteuerung" follows German formality norm: it's not "hey Siri" (or Alexa). That would be considered rude in general and inappropriate to a device that's about to do something useful for you. It's : "Liebe Frau Siri, könnten Sie bitte gefälligst..." Prompts must end with "vielen vielen Dank im voraus". You will then be served with *exactely* what you asked for, right the first time. The academic edition needs "Frau Dr Dr Siri"

@tubetime uh I wanted the conrad "sprachsteuerung" so bad as a child, would have turned my bedroom into the most evil control central 😅
