Fedi is a strange social media

Some people use the favourites feature as intended, like bookmarks, and some use it like a general upvote

And then there are Misskey reactions, which all display like favourites on Mastodon. For all you know, that might have been an angry or hateful reaction, but it shows up as a favourite

Some let everyone follow them, and some actually check their followers' accounts before letting them follow. I haven't found one social media that lets you deny a follow request other than Fedi

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's just different :blobcatdizzy:
