Gregory's Server@miah IRC is not even remotely capable of competing with the likes of Discord. (And I say that as someone operating an IRC server for a minecraft server with a few friends)
It covers maybe 25% of the use case, and adding a bunch of extra apps brings that up to maybe 60%

@miah I'd love to ditch discord, not least of which because of their ownership (Tencent). Right now it looks like Revolt is a possibility for that, but they're definitely manpower-constrained.
