The Conservatives' attitude to climate change seems to follow the Kübler-Ross model of the five stages of grief:
Denial - Climate change is not happening, the world isn't gonna drown and boil
Anger - Climate change is not caused by us, stop nagging us about it, for Pete's sake
Bargaining - Maybe, climate change has its own advantages?..
Looks like, we're three stages in, we still have to pass depression to reach acceptance.
It's so slow for them, though...
@drq my position is that instead of rolling climate back, we need to adapt ourselves to it. It will happen anyway, earlier or later - like it happened multiple times in Earth's history. And sometimes it also happened because of living organisms, so we're not so different. I don't think total adaptation will take more governmental/social effort than current measures to stop the change.
